- these pictures are from my trip to the Crimean peninsula in summer '98 as a volunteer archaeological site conservator
- we stabilized and preserved the stone masonry of a 4th c. B.C. Greek farmhouse on the ancient territory of Chersonesos, outside of modern Sevastopol
- work included rebuilding and strengthening unstable walls, pointing joints with mortar, configuring wall tops to ensure adequate drainage, and filling cavities with grout
